Sipping a delicious cocktail in the sun is a vision of heavenly holiday relaxation for many. Unfortunately, cocktails in general don’t really go with bikini wearing. An 8-ounce pina colada packs in 640 calories – more than a hamburger with cheese! Another cocktail classic, the margarita, is also full of empty calories – the Cointreau alone adds 95 calories per ounce.
Luckily, the people at Fitness Magazine have revised versions of these two classics, that allow us enjoy our cocktails, with a little less guilt.
Pina Colada

- 1 1/2 ounces coconut-flavored rum
- 3 ounces pineapple juice
- 4 ounces sparkling water
- 1 tablespoon of cream of coconut
Simply pour ingredients over ice and stir.
Skinny Margarita
Calories:224
- 1 teaspoon wasabi powder
- 3/4 ounce lime juice
- 1 ounce light agave nectar
- 1 3/4 ounces Tequila blanco
Salt rim of a margarita glass.
In a shaker add all of the ingredients with ice.
Shake vigorously for 30 seconds and then strain over fresh ice into glass.
