1. Measure your walking with one of the many methods available

3. Set real targets

Set yourself challenging but reachable targets. This will boost your motivation as you achieve you goals. Decide what you want to achieve, how to measure it, and set yourself some deadlines to achieve your milestones. Above all, start small and work your way up.

4. Tell people about your programme

Once you’ve set your targets tell your friends and family about them, share your progress and successes. Your friends might just join you!
